OK, now that Al Horford has Covid and cases are spiking everywhere, with a variant even more transmissible than Omicron - we need to consider what might happen if more Celtics players and/or another one of the conference finalists has an outbreak.

When 1 or 2 on a single team are hit, not big deal, but it's entirely possible multiple players on a given team could test positive. Given the fact there is only one off day between all these games, it could really impact who wins the championship. Would the NBA possibly postpone games if too many players are out, and what would be too many players?

The Warriors probably had a good warning with Kerr being out last week, to make sure they are not taking any chances. But Horford was apparently seen at morning shoot around, possibly infecting other players Tuesday morning.

If I was the NBA I’d end testing and the protocol for the rest of the playoffs.   Let the teams and players handle it as they would any virus. It’s been 2 years. Name me ONE NBA player that has had any serious consequences from Covid. From the perspective of NBA players, it’s no different than a flu at this point.  And a mild one at that.
