Was watching a bit of Astros play Red Sox last night before rain delay, and saw the Astros with a Catcher hitting .061 in their starting lineup.  Their regular Catcher is batting .113 with a .438 OPS. The Yankees have the best record in MLB and their primary Catcher is hitting .161 with a paltry .424 OPS. It's almost like Catchers are the new Pitchers for hitting prowess, relative to all position players. 

Joey Bart has a .178 BA with a respectable .722 OPS.  

With last night's outburst, Curt Casali: .298 BA and an impressive .909 OPS. Hard to believe a 33 yo Catcher with a career .229 BA and .724 OPS is going to maintain those numbers, but I don't think Bart is any sort of weak link for the Giants relative to MLB Catching production in 2022.
