My final comment on Suzuki. 

The Giants didn’t lose; the Cubs won.

As for the Giants FO, they are quite savvy.  They know what the fan base wants (winning and continuity) and they will deliver in that order.

Rodon - an interesting situation.  Given how SF handled Gausman, I would tend to agree with you that Giants fans should not expect him to return if he wants a five year deal.

Every fan base wants winning and continuity. 

 If I read somewhere that the Giants told Suzukis agent “come to us before you sign, give us a chance to beat it.”   And that they did things to show how much they wanted him, as the Cubs did, I’ll agree with you. Until then, I’m sticking to this being a fail.  An extra 5 mill a year probably could have made up for those few extra family dinners…..
