Is it a bit concerning Ma hasn’t been playing as well as she had been in the beginning of the year?

Oh, for sure. With our depth being less reliable than in past years, we need her to come in and shut down top players from other teams. She was outstanding for the entire dual match season but then hit a four-match snag where she lost to ASU's Morlet and UW's Wong and then got crushed by WSU's Bayerlova and Cal's Giavara. If we've got a shot at a deep NCAA run, we need her to go toe to toe with the best in the country.
