What I do hope the administration is doing involves making plans to deal with the various possible twists and turns of this war. So far the present administration has at best a mixed record on anticipatory planning. We don't want to end up "winging it" if a quick response to an event is required.
Agreed. This is a very different situation than dealing with a non nuclear Milosevic. But to be clear, Biden has to not only be worrying about the “twists and turns of this war”, but also planning for someone (China, Iran, NKorea) trying to take advantage of the current situation to start/exacerbate another problem in a different area of the world. Need to be talking to our friends/allies throughout the world to be prepared for a lot.
