“Productive but not star level” against inferior competition would maybe project to what in the PAC-12?

Don’t get me wrong, if they can contribute, especially at a position of need, then great.  But I’m kind of thinking of our transfer QB here, who fit the bill of “productive but not star level” against inferior competition at Air Force, and wound up being a feel good story who mostly served as a backup and came in to run a few plays.  Or even the women’s basketball transfer, who came from a major conference school (Northwestern, as I recall), but has played sparingly.

Andrew Funk:17.6ppg, 3.6rpg, 3apg, shot 36% from 3

Sam Griesel: 14.3 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 3.4 apg, and shot 38% from 3

Divant'e Moffitt: 19.3 ppg, 3.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game (and shot 80% FTs!)

Jaylan Gainey: 9.3 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 2.1 bpg(!!!), 2x Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year 
  - I think this one is fair to say "productive but not star level," though clearly the guy can defend. Also the only forward on the list.

Tyreke Key '20-'21: 17.2 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 2.0 apg; 31.6% 3pt, 84% FT (had shoulder surgery and sat out this season)

Paul Bruns:14.8 ppg, 5.7 rpg; 37% 3pt, 82% FT AS A FRESHMAN


Also, unlike all these guys, you'll note that Isaiah Sanders started JUST SIX GAMES IN HIS FOUR-YEAR AIR FORCE CAREER. He was therefore not "productive" at all. He was a backup who had 2 legitimately good games.

Agree, Sam - I'd checked these players' stats after the initial post and was also duly impressed.  The only question mark was that Flowers "opted out" of participating the 20-21 season after 9 games - don't know what that was about - COVID? That said, he did come back strong this year.
