According to British defense ministry, the Russian defense ministry has acknowledged the use of thermobaric weapons in Ukraine. No word yet on how they were used. In an urban setting, these weapons would result in mass slaughter.
Note: The US has used these types of weapons as well, in Vietnam and Afghanistan. The weapons use a fuel air mixture to create a giant fireball sucking all the oxygen out of the blast area, killing anything in it's path, including underground. Not that different form a mini-nuke.
