Since Stanford has been under the 85-player limit for so long, I didn’t realize the NCAA had lifted the limit for 2021. But it sounds like it’s probably coming back next year. That may explain Shaw’s ability to recruit a pretty darn good class despite lackluster results on the field. But it’s going to cause teams to face a roster crunch, and, based on the scholarship count above, Stanford is no exception.
