 Plus IMO Tara is at the stage of her career where she would not be interested in a player who isn't full-time focused on basketball.

Unless it's Kristin Folkl . . . who you'd take at any stage of a coaching career.  

Folkl still might be the best Stanford athlete ever . . . she has to be in the conversation, anyway - uber elite VB and hoopster.  Elway, Toi, Dotterer, Paye . . . Veris (how good was he in field events in track at Stanford?).  

Am sure there are others I'm missing.  But in my lifetime, the most elite 2-sport Stanford athletes that I can think of are Elway, Folkl, and Cook.

Oh, Kristin FOLKL!  My favorite Stanford athlete (and collegiate athlete) of all time.  She was responsible for me finally following the Stanford WVB team starting in 1994, after having already been following their WBB team since their first championship season in 1989-90 (during the latter half of my 2-year work stint at IBM Menlo Park/San Jose).

Early on in FOLKL's storied Stanford WBB/WVB career, I had already compared her with Natalie WILLIAMS of UCLA, the only other athlete other than FOLKL to be honored as 1st Team AA in both basketball and volleyball.    

Although I only saw her play live for Stanford WBB and WVB a few times (since I was living in the Portland OR area at that time, from 1992-2007), I had the privilege of watching her frequently play live for the now defunct Portland Fire of the WNBA from 2000-2002.
