I can use stealth to refer to someone who’s stealthy, even if the offer was public. Here, however, Hawkins publicly came for an OV to Stanford after committing to Florida, so that’s not stealthy at all. Just because some of us weren’t in the loop doesn’t mean that the recruit was keeping his Stanford interest secret.

Just on this board, the usage has evolved to anyone who Stanford continues to recruit, even though they are committed to another school.  In the past, those recruitments did tend to be much quieter because other schools tended to look unkindly at athletes wavering in their commitment.  Now, I think it has become so widespread that nobody looks all that askew at a recruit who is committed to one school but still actively engaging other suitors.

So, by common usage, Haskins was a "stealth" even if his recruitment wasn't all that stealthy.
