I think it was more OLE with a lot of Who, me? mixed in. Seriously, to me it looked more like just plain lack of effort. It was similar to the KSU game only worse. The UCLA players just went through the gaps untouched in may cases. We seemed to have no plan on stopping that, as if the line just didn't feel the need. I would have possibly expected lots of holding penalties as players tried desperately to restrain the guy who was going by them, but we didn't even get that. It was more "That isn't my job" it seemed.

LoL. I was thinking about BC's post as I read yours. My take - its the NO blocking scheme. Good heavens, how many times was Peat tackled before he could even see the corner, let alone turn up-field? Seemed like our OLs primary mission was running to the pile after a TFL.
How hard is it to just block any defender after missing your assignment? Back in the day, missing a block was egregious but was nothing compared to not blocking at all. :(
There was one screen pass in the left flat that revealed just how slow-footed our guards were. Not even in the camera frame and still standing after three guys gang-tackled our back. Miller and Bragg are supposed to be tough cookies but I don’t think either of them made contact with anyone on that play.
In general, footwork (or lack of it) seems to be a challenge for this OL.
