Unfortunately, this year’s turnaround can only be measured in win percentage since the number of games played is significantly different from ‘20 to ‘21. Using win percentage, Arizona’s improvement was .216 (.401 to .617). For SF to exceed that figure, they would have to win 114 games this year (from .483 in 2020 to .704 in 2021, an improvement of .221). Given the fact they have already lost 50 games, that isn’t possible.

I had actually meant the turnaround between the 1992 Giants (72-90) and the 93 Giants (103-59), a 31 game turnaround. Thanks for answering my question anyways; looks like the 93 Giants were close to the record but it is still not quite a 35 game turnaround.
