The problem is it’s impossible to know. At least some of the balls he hit that stayed in the park were hit harder as a result of PEDs, and that affects everything from the grounder that makes it past the diving shortstop and is a single instead of a groundout, to the ball hit into the gap just past the center fielder’s grasp and is a double instead of a flyout, and even the ability to just make some contact and turn a swinging strike three into a foul.

Bonds was around a .300 hitter before 1997.  From 2000 to 2004, he hit .306, .328, .370, .341, .362, when he was 36-40 years old. Hard to believe that steroids didn’t add 25 to 50 points to his batting average.
