I may have misread OF's post. I read his post as asking whether the door #1 comment was a safe assumption. (yes) I apologize if that is not what you were asking, OF.
Whether his own assumption (that Stanford should have more commits by now) is safe, I will defer to the expert here. I will note that the median number of commits in the Pac-12 is 5.5, the lowest (Utah) is 1, and Stanford is 11th in the Pac-12 in number of commits. And/but Stanford is usually near the bottom at this point in the cycle, so this is not unusual. Whether it should be, OTOH, is a different story.
