my recollection from an NCAA report a couple of years ago was that the graduation rate for grad transfers was not particularly high overall, women's basketball was better than football or men's basketball but as I recall was still significantly under 50%.  The report was posted on the Cardboard but I could not find it here or on the NCAA site

Oh yeah, it is bad.  But I think Stanford has higher standards, and is already pretty strict with regard to graduate admissions.  If graduate transfers start flaking on their academic commitments, then I think an already very restrictive environment will become harder than Cal going to the Rose Bowl.

it would be interesting to look up in the SAA database the grad transfers in to see how many actually got a graduate degree....

to do that we'd need a list of all the inbound grad transfers (or at least a partial list)
