At the end of the 1995 season, we had three highly touted quarterbacks on the squad: Scott Frost, Tim Carey and Chad Hutchinson. By the opening snap of 1996, we were down to Hutchinson and this obscure Husak fellow...who turned out to be the best of them all.

Frost actually transferred a year earlier, after the 1994 season. But the point is a good one -- we had a lot of highly regarded QB talent in those days:

1994 - Stenstrom, Frost, Butterfield, Carey
1995 - Butterfield, Carey, Hutchinson
1996 - Hutchinson, Husak (Carey transferred a week before the first game)
1997 - Hutchinson, Husak, Borchard, Fasani -- That\'s a bunch of talent, and Husak was the one who eventually turned out to be All Pac 10.
