Good news, it seems that confidence is growing in vaccines:

"In the United States, where vaccinations began two weeks ago, new surveys show that the portion of people saying they are likely or certain to take the vaccine has grown to more than 60 percent from about 50 percent this summer, and in one poll, to 73 percent — a figure that approaches what some public health experts say would create herd immunity."


According to the Path to Herd Immunity site they are using the 60% immunity (vaccinations plus prior infections) trigger, and saying we will get there by June to August. They say that we will hit 70% immunized by the end of the year.  

But if Fauci's claim that the the real herd immunity point could be in the 80-85% range then perhaps we don't hit herd immunity by the end of the year. 


Not sure if I should be optimistic or pessimistic at this point.

I do believe, in the typical manner of US processes, we will go from allocation to superabundance within a matter of weeks.
