Dabigv13 (and anyone else who is interested, Akiddoc maybe), I suspect the hospital administrators know about this. Interested potential vaccination providers should be talking to their state and see this CDC page.
These doses are going to be coming fast, estimated enough for 10% of California's population by the end of December. They may come fast enough in these first 3 weeks that those that are in the first groups to be vaccinated won't find doctors prepared to vaccinate them. It seems weird if a hospital has to tell its staff to try to get vaccinations at CVS or Walgreens.
