Is there no greater sign of complacency the last couple of years than just having half of the visit allotments? I get that Shaw is a great face for the U. Why not create a new job where he becomes the face of Stanford somewhat like a CEO becomes emeritus?  There are no more worlds to conquer. He has reached #3 in the final polls, won two Rose Bowls and graduated his guys. The program is tired.

I feel that Shaw is taking the same path that Willingham took after his first (and only) Rose Bowl.  Though in Willingham defense he had a non-supporting cast in the AD and the Director of Admissions.
