I think I've enjoyed beating Cleveland St., Illinois St., and Nevada and earnng a trip to Madison Square Garden a lot more than UCBerkeley fans enjoyed losing to South Florida in a play-in game.

One of my co-workers is a big Michigan fan - I posed the question to him of whether he would rather have his team be playing in the NIT in Madison Square Garden, or lose to 13-seed Ohio University in the first round of the NCAAs - he replied unequivocally that the NCAAs is always better. I disagree. I've enjoyed this little run.

Sometimes it's good to be a big fish in a small pond.
