Prefer to develop a closer from within. Moronta coming back. If sound he is a possibility. I like Baragar. A lot. Attacks hitters. Needs to gain more confidence in his secondary pitches.
I’d start Coonrod in AAA and he’d be my closer there. See if he can handle it day in day out. I’d give him plenty of room to fail. He has very nasty stuff. Work with him to gain command and confidence. He’s the best arm they had out of the pen this year. Kapler badly misused him. He was not ready to be the guy closing the most important game of the season. Had Coconut Oil Speedo Man simply used anyone but Watson up four in the 7th (9th in a real game) Game 1, hed have had Watson available in game 2. An easy decision. Which he blew. Giants would have beat the Dodgers, slipped past a beat up SD team and would be tied 2-2 with Atlanta in the NLCS. I have a vivid imagination......
