My own thought is that some of the anti-masking nonsense is a reaction to severe lockdowns that are seen as overkill. The time may be coming to give the public guidance and let water seek its own level.
I wouldn't give you two cents for all your fancy rules if, behind them, they didn't have a little bit of plain, ordinary, everyday kindness - yeah, and a little looking out for the other fella, too.
