We now know for a FACT the White House (and maybe POTUS) purposely misled us about when he was confirmed positive.  

I am 100% convinced The POTUS was the Saturday Rose Garden event super spreader. The WH tried to hide the Hope Hicks positive test. Only when the Hicks result was leaked, did the WH know it had to admit what it already knew about the POTUS.

The plan was to hide the POTUS Covid diagnosis, hoping he wouldn't develop symptoms. When WH staff saw him exhibiting symptoms and after the Hicks news was leaked, WH knew everyone would assume he was infected. So they tried to make it look like Hicks infected the POTUS. By rearranging who tased positive first between Hicks and POTUS.  But...

The reality is what the WH REALLY doesn't want the public to find out is that the POTUS was the super spreader at that Rose Garden event last Saturday. For him to be showing symptoms on Sept. 30, he had to be infected 5-7 days previously. It roughly lines up to the POTUS being initially infected on Wed, Sept. 23.  That would put him at peak infectivity at the Sept. 25 Rose Garden event.

The GOOD news is if the POTUS was at peak infectivity on Saturday, he wouldn't have been nearly as infective by Tuesday night, so Joe Biden's odds of getting infected are a lot lower than had he been at the Rose Garden event.

This begs three questions.  

1. When was the last time the POTUS tested negative?
2. Was the POTUS late for the "debate" on Tuesday because they knew he was positive and debate would be canceled if he was positive?
3. Has the POTUS ever been tested at all, before the PCR test after showing symptoms?

#1 was asked by media and ignored.   Trust they will keep that quiet as long as possible.
#2 same here UNLESS Joe Biden tests positive.   Should that happen the fury will be epic.   Far too many in Team Trump were symptomatic on Wednesday for all of them to have tested negative on Tuesday.   Team Trump conveniently arrived too late to take the agreed tests in Cleveland.
#3 POTUS has let it slip from time to time on Fox News that he primarily relies on everyone around him getting tested.   However, skipping the debate test becomes very problematic now, so there better be some evidence he tested negative on Sunday or Monday.  However that should be rather easy to falsify, at least until there is a change in administration in 2020 or 2024.

Given his age and the visible COVID-like symptoms on Wednesday, my guess is he was exposed during one of the times he met with Barrett and her group prior to the ceremony at the White House. 

All of that is for a different time.   At the moment, it is best for the USA for POTUS to survive and for Joe Biden to remain symptom free.   Any other scenario will leave the country in a state of turmoil that might dominate our nation for years.

The bulk of the above is what I mean by fixation.    

But switching gears to the highlighted portion, what is your fear here, exactly?

If Trump dies from this, then the Republicans will run somebody else in November (maybe Pence).  And we'll have the winner take office in January.

If Trump recovers from this, then the election will go forward in November, the winner will take office in January.

If Biden is stricken and dies, then the Dems will put someone else up as the nominee (maybe Harris, but I've gotta believe there will be major jockeying for that spot).  The election will go forward in November and the winner will take office in January.

What do you think will "dominate our nation" for the next decade (other than for 8 of those years, we might have the same, new person as President), assuming he or she does a good enough job to get re-elected?
