I believe that is correct.  If I am reading the articles correctly, so far as anyone knows, he didn't get it from a teammate, and he didn't drop dead because he was playing football.  All it tells us is that 20-year old football players are not invincible against this thing, even if the vast majority will be minimally impacted.

You have to read the article closely to NOT come away thinking the guy died from Covid due to football.  That's why I said the article bordered on the misleading.  [Also, I'll take BC's word that the guy died from Covid-related complications, but it does not explicitly state that - at least that I could tell].

It's possible to think that playing college football is "not worth it," especially for the Pac, while still thinking articles like the one linked constitute irresponsible journalism.
