Say what you will about Jon Wilner - I know many of us have felt at times that his observations on Stanford Football are less well informed than our own.  But this type of story is precisely in his wheelhouse, and his reporting has been prolific, timely and reliable so far.

R.J. Abeytia has been pretty much the opposite - he seems likable, and I trust his takes on Stanford Football. It's clear that he watches every down. But his reporting around this particular story has been speculative, sensationalist and unreliable.

I suppose the final test will be today around 5PM.
