What's the current thinking behind ACE2 expression and allergen exposure in asthma/allergy patients? I thought early studies showed under-representation of those groups compared to broadly classifying "asthma" as a risk. (Certain categories of asthma are indeed a risk, right?)
Could smoking decrease ACE2 expression? A quick search pops up some hits:

But it seems like other studies go the opposite direction.
