I suspect you're correct but UConn in a particularly untenable positoin:  an independent w/o the draw/interest of ND  (and ND aligned with ACC for football this season).  In other words, I don't think P5 schools will say "UConn packed it in, so that's it for all of us" (even if they may get there eventually).  There is a lot more at stake for P5 schools.

UConn was awful last year iirc.  Still, I agree there won’t be a season.  And I don’t think there should be one.
