Strangely, there was no mention of trying to get Shaw or Harbaugh to comment. Hintons very concerned about lack of testing, as everyone on college campuses should be, IMO.
Also interviewed SEC commish. Sankey was asked how many conference schools have had positive tests. He wouldn't say, which was not a good look. I give him credit for going on camera, but when you refuse to say - while saying you know - it makes it look like you are hiding something, because if the answer was zero he wouldn't have hesitated to say it.
College Football is trying to use the much more highly resourced major league sports as rationale to say it is totes cool for them to play. But the fact the smaller conferences have put playing on ice tells you they don't think they can do it safely. The Power 5 has the exact same challenges, but they are ready to put the players and campus in harm's way to try generating money the smaller conferences can't generate.
That's a very different story from what the Hintons were saying last week: https://theathletic.com/1927816/2020/07/...ting-more/
Quote:The Hintons’ experience with Michigan has been a positive one. Coach Jim Harbaugh sent a questionnaire that allowed parents to give anonymous feedback about their concerns and priorities, and he’s had regular Zoom calls to provide updates and answer parents’ questions. After spending several months in lockdown at their home near Atlanta, the Hintons felt comfortable bringing Christopher back to Ann Arbor when Michigan began voluntary workouts last month.

Christopher and Myles have been tested twice since returning to campus, Mya said, and their schools have taken all of the reasonable precautions.
