I have a friend with 2 sons in MLB. One went to a UC for three years after turning down $700,000. Spent 2 years in the minors. Has been making good money peaking at 10 mill. Now at the end of his career due to make 1.75 mill this year (Obviously not going to happen.). Also finished his degree. The other turned down his UC offer and went to the minors. Took $2,750,000 signing bonus. Spent about 5 years in the minors and now making 1.5 million a year - his max salary in the majors. No degree.
Spending time in college can turn out better if you're the real thing.
