Who wore black after Otis Redding died besides me?

There being a "sunny side" and a "shady side" would be consistent with the field being at least somewhat E/W oriented.  Looking at google maps, it looks like the axis is NW/SE.  If it were a runway, I think Stanford stadium would be runway 33.
