A doc has to order the test. I dont know the details but my doc who is in private practice (ie, not a Stanford doc) offered to order it, but suggested waiting a couple weeks to get some preliminary info on how the test is working, and to let the curve flatten so that less risk in spending time in a clinic waiting room.
