IMHO, the counties should be training up all firemen and police, including auxiliaries, as fast as they can to do this work.

Yes, but we need to have people who know something about/have experience with dealing with the public. We also need this activity to be professionally executed. Using it as WPA/CCC program probably won't accomplish that. We also need to start training now, as hopefully our "lockdown" isn't going to last six months.
