CFR should be viewed in conjunction with the demographics. In the 4-hardest hit countries, the percent of population 65+ varies from 9% to 22.3%. I added a column CFR/65+% to give such a view. By that statistic, Iran's older population (9%) is really hit badly. Italy is actually a bit better than China currently (but I'm sure it will grow worse as its epidemic matures).
In the US, 22.7% of the population is 65+. That alone would suggest a relatively high CFR is coming.
