Shaw isn’t going to fire anyone. He’s an introvert and stubborn. I’m sure that the program decline is killing him inside but he knows that he is coaching in a mid-major conference with a fairly passive fan base. I think inner stress will result in a health crisis inevitably. In the meantime he is safe with an administration that is proud of his character and not all that upset with football mediocrity.

As with everything about Stanford football he is who he is.
