Knight has been generous to Stanford (mostly to the Business School), but no one is referring to him as the "owner" of the team, as was seen on an Oregon sign at that ESPN Game Day. Seems to me that building a business school is just a tad different from building a Taj Mahal for the football team.

Frankly, I don't see what is so different about it. We're making fun of the U of Oregon for taking a bunch of Phil Knight's money when that is the exact thing we are doing ourselves.
