I know '90 was against Cal, but other than that, this game had the all-time mental error that '90 had (fumble by Verdell), but that was one of 10 incredible moments in this game. This game felt like a compilation of some of our greatest moments, all in one game: fumble by Verdell, reminiscent of all-time mental error (Cal fans storming the field or roughing the passer) from '90, 46 yard drive for tying FG to force overtime (including converting a 3rd and 10), that was reminiscent of 2015 Notre Dame. An all-time catch in traffic by Parkinson, reminiscent of Ertz catch in 2012 Oregon game.
Then you add in Herbert's all-time performance in regulation (92% completion percentage), overcoming two moments in 3rd and 4th quarter where Oregon had a 99% chance to win, Oregon ran thirty more plays than us, won TOP by over 10 minutes, and utterly dominated both LOS (which is where 99.99% of games are won)...and we won. No one will ever be able to explain, looking at the box score or otherwise, how we won last night.
Btw, Oregon fans were just as stunned as Cal fans in '90 were last night. The stadium was nearly full during the Bryce Love/Costello interviews, because nobody in the stadium could fathom what they had just witnessed.
