Football is a student activity. The students deserve to have a chance to attend football games, especially the big games. The biggest home game next year is the U.S.C. game, and our students should have a chance to attend. The new freshmen will move in on Tuesday, September 18. The returning students are allowed to move in to their housing on September 20 or later. Classes start on September 24. The U.S.C. game will be on September 15. Most Stanford students live out of the Bay Area. Most students cannot feasibly come to Stanford a week early, with no housing and no place to store their things. This schedule means that most of our students probably will miss the biggest home football game of the year. The students will get to attend only 3 home games this year. The Pac 12 should not have done that to Stanford's students.
