Trying to remember other Stanford golfers who have advanced this far in the US Amateur. In recent memory, I can recall (with help from the USGA archive)
2010 - David Chung lost in the finals to Peter Uihlein
2011 - Patrick Rodgers lost in the quarterfinals
2013 - Patrick Rodgers lost in the round of 16
2015 - Maverick McNealy lost to eventual champ Bryson DeChambeau in the round of 16
2016 - David Boote lost to eventual runner up Brad Dalke in the quarterfinals

Stanford has had 2 golfers win the US Men's Amateur - Tiger Woods and Lawson Little.

For today, meet the quarterfinalists - http://www.usga.org/content/usga/home-pa...lists.html
