I'm wondering if we're going to try to run more out of 4-wide sets. WSU's small, fast defenders are largely beating us by getting around our blocks, and since there are 9 of them in the box basically every play it's resulting in TFLs or short gains. If they only had 6-7 in the box they'd be much more likely to be burned by it.
But, really, I think you're right, we keep being close to big plays and just missing. Missing the block, missing the sack, missing the throw, missing the catch. I don't really know how to fix that, but at the very least WSU is playing really, really well and not blowing us away. If we can pick it up I like our odds...
