I grew up outside of NYC and got to watch YA in his prime.  I admired his skills, but didn't root for him as I was an ardent Browns fan in my early teens.  Why?  Well, then and now I always most enjoyed greatness rather than just skills, and Jim Brown was the greatest player of that time.  Tittle was a skilled warrior, but Brown was a man amongst boys.
