Perhaps rumors of Cal’s resurgence were a tad premature.  They lost 45-24 to an Oregon team who lost to ASU last week and who lost two quarterbacks and Royce Freeman to injury.  They had 8 yards rushing.  They had something like 80 yards of total offense in the first half.  In contrast, despite Freeman only getting 8 carries in the game, Oregon rushed for 328 yards.  The score would have been more lopsided but for 110 yards of penalties against the Ducks and a couple and an interception that led to Cal’s only score in the first half.
