I did say "almost meaningless", not "meaningless".

Browning is not an outlier at all. This season is not even over and there are players such as Nick Gerber (73 TD / 4 Int), Alex Huston (76/12), JT Daniels (63/2), Grant Gunnell (63/9) and many others with video game numbers. A few are top recruits; the vast majority are not.

Perhaps it's better to say that high school statistics are almost meaningless absent major adjustments based on state, division, team strength, etc.
