Road teams can consider going for two in the second OT, especially if they are in some way lucky to be in 2OT.
Home teams should almost ways bank on the idea that with time, and crowd noise, the road team will make a mistake.
In the LA Coliseum there was no real way that either team was going for 2 early because both had reason to believe that they would have an advantage in later OTs.
