I have always been a semi-closeted Phoenix. Class of '68, expecting nothing then and just missing the wild and crazy UM/tOSU (or was it vice versa?) Rose Bowl years. Season ticket holder from 76-85, loving Walsh and then loathing his successors, giving up for pretty much of the ensuing 25 years, until Harbaugh appeared and we finally beat the Toejams into the ground, where they belong. As for Shaw, I've given him some slack, which worked for me as long as he won, even when his Woody Hayes "3 yards and cloud of dust" philosophy bored me to death and then seemed to become engrained when it seemed to work. Well....now I think that the opposing coaches, beginning with Pat Fitzgerald at NW up through Mora and now Petersen, are embedding the Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again" and we are going to have to come to grips with this fact. Until Shaw goes back to the drawing board, I'm sticking with Phoenix.
