I don't think Wilner is purposefully trying to hurt us. I do, however, think he's a putz who inconsistently applies his quality wins/strength-of-schedule emphasis.
His poll two weeks ago, for instance, featured Wisconsin above Stanford. He defended his vote on the basis of the Sagarin strength of schedule ranking for Stanford. Left unmentioned was that Wisconsin's Sagarin strength of schedule rating was worse than Stanford's.
