I think that the 49er QB's disdain for the flag is tied to the false narrative of a certain hate group that is fomenting hatred and antipathy for police officers across America.

The oppression that I find most disturbing has to do with the economic policies that have made the quality of life for African-Americans worse since 2009: Poverty Up 1.6%, Home Ownership Down 9%, Income Down 1.5%, Food Stamps Up 58%.

This is getting way too close to your personal politics, and not discussion about the rights of the individual to do what he did.  This isn't suppose to be a discussion about Kaepernicks' motivation, but rather the method he chose to express himself.  Stay within those lines and this can be a healthy discussion that proves this board can handle nuanced discussion on a sensitive topic.
