Some years, fans from other California schools are sprinkled in throughout the stadium. This year, the UCLA fans were pretty much confined to the visitors' section. In fact, a third to a half of the fans were in the UCLA band.
Our student section was outstanding! Kids sprinted in as soon as the gates opened and jockeyed for the best seats in the Red Zone. They stood throughout the game. They even came up with some sort of arm motion after all first downs. (Something like holding both hands straight out and then in unison moving them from the elbow to the side.)
