I see we are back to owning second place; 4 second place finishes this year.

BC

On the women's side, all three were close:

1. In Water Polo, the team scored twice in the last two minutes to tie USC, only to lose 8-7 on a goal with six seconds remaining.
2. In Golf, two matches went to extra holes and Washington won when a long Stanford putt barely missed.
3. In Swimming and Diving, a disqualification of a Cardinal swimmer for leaving early in a relay gave Georgia the margin of victory.

At this level of competition, a seemingly small detail can matter significantly.

I haven't analyzed the numbers, but it seems that in many cases, our rival in a given championship tournament is another Pac-12 school.

Geaux Cardinal!
