It would seem that the PAC-12 conference/network (which is running things now? It is getting confusing) could give permission to the schools to put the full games up either on their sites or on Youtube. Maybe the FB team might make some money ("Buy the 2015-16 Rose Bowl season ...") but other sports likely wouldn't. Looking further backwards, I was thinking it would be fun to watch some of the games from the '90 and '92 WBB season, as part of the 1K WBB celebration. Or watch an old Janet Evans swim, or Pablo Morales.
I do have all or almost all of this year's Stanford WBB games on TiVo and most of last year's (but I lost the one game I went back to look at). Actually, I went back and watched the Stanford@UCLA first half tonight, and took notes. Karlie did one of her passes where she starts to drive and does a no-look pass to someone else back on the 3pt line. It's a similar bounce pass to the pick & roll, but no pick involved.
Will we beat UCLA if we play them again? I think so.Â

- We didn't have Kailee, but that's not why we lost. We really hadn't gelled.
- Marta started and was a liability in that game.Â
- I don't often note something wrong (IMO) with Karlie's play, but she was bailing out too early when there were rebounds to be had. Almost like she didn't trust the guards to be able to handle the defense. With our usual guards, that leaves only one or two rebounders against 3, 4, or 5 of the opponent.Â
- UCLA played an aggressive defensive game that was not up to our last two defensive performances, but was enough to disrupt our play.Â
- Moves & passes that would work in man-to-man didn't work against the zone because there were always defenders that had nothing better to do than to try to disrupt the pass or play. (Ie, they didn't feel a threat by whomever was in their zone.)
- Marta refused to shoot (ok, she did take a 3 but only after she double clutched) and our bigs didn't even try shots they were making this past weekend.Â
- We had mental lapses at the end of three of the quarters -- we failed to get off a shot in two, and in another, let them get an easy shot with 5 seconds when they took possession. Marta passed the ball around without any sense of where the shot clock was. Â
- I also noticed that our two short guards were a real liability when the opponent takes a foul shot. (one of them usually is on the lane, but doesn't contribute much). IIRC, Karlie blocked out the shooter and Bri just stood around. Bri should have been assigned to block out the shooter so Karlie could get in for a possible rebound.Â
- Other than our rebounders (Bird, Kaylee, Alanna, McPhee), there was a lot of standing around or retreating rather than rebounding.Â
