I may be in the minority, but I don't think this is relevant at all. My impression is that Shaw is looking for competitors--people that are comfortable with their abilities both on-field and in the classroom (and Stewart certainly seems comfortable with his on-field abilities judging by the # of WR commits at UM). This battle really boils down to whether Stewart wants to attend a school where he feels comfortable (i.e., his friends will be playing there, his former coach is there) versus a school where he can challenge himself and grow. If the bottom line is that he'd like to go to college with his high school friends and play with his high school coach then there's not much that Stanford has to offer.
